Raw Water Resources including surface and grOlmd water <br /> <br /> <br />supplies and yields, return flows, historic uses, and <br /> <br /> <br />present day requirements. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Physical Facilities for the diversion, collection, storage, <br /> <br /> <br />conveyance, treatment and distribution of water; including <br /> <br /> <br />l~orks presently constructed and proposed improvements and <br /> <br /> <br />expansions. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Cost of Water including investment in physical plant, <br /> <br /> <br />depreciation, administration, operation and maintenance cost, <br /> <br /> <br />indebtedness, total annual cost, and l;ater rates. <br /> <br />Infonnation compiled in the report was obtained through interviews <br /> <br /> <br />with various l;ater suppliers; federal, state and local authorities; <br /> <br /> <br />County Planning and Health Departments; and various consulting engineers, <br /> <br /> <br />attorneys, and accountants connected witll the water supply agencies in <br /> <br /> <br />the Denver ~retropolitan area; and by telephone conversations with repre- <br /> <br /> <br />sentatives of nwnerous smaller suppliers which do not maintain operating <br /> <br /> <br />offices. A substantial amount of information was obtained from the <br /> <br /> <br />State Engineer's Office. <br /> <br />The cooperation of district and municipal water superintendents, <br />city and town officials, and government representatives is gratefully <br />acknowledged. The names of most of these personnel are given in <br />Appendicies A and B of Part II of the Inventory Report. <br /> <br />3 <br />
