Descriptive data for water suppliers In the Primary Area have been

compiled with respect to:

1. Raw Water Resources including surface and grOlmd water

supplies and yields, return flows, historic uses, and

present day requirements.

2. Physical Facilities for the diversion, collection, storage,

conveyance, treatment and distribution of water; including

l~orks presently constructed and proposed improvements and

expansions.

3. Cost of Water including investment in physical plant,

depreciation, administration, operation and maintenance cost,

indebtedness, total annual cost, and l;ater rates.

Infonnation compiled in the report was obtained through interviews

with various l;ater suppliers; federal, state and local authorities;

County Planning and Health Departments; and various consulting engineers,

attorneys, and accountants connected witll the water supply agencies in

the Denver ~retropolitan area; and by telephone conversations with repre-

sentatives of nwnerous smaller suppliers which do not maintain operating

offices. A substantial amount of information was obtained from the

State Engineer's Office.

The cooperation of district and municipal water superintendents,
city and town officials, and government representatives is gratefully
acknowledged. The names of most of these personnel are given in
Appendicies A and B of Part II of the Inventory Report.
