Occasional updatin9 has taken place since. As <br />mentioned previously, the institutions described herein are not static. <br />Several major changes have taken place at the local, state and federal levels <br />since the original research was performed. Some of those occurrences <br />i nc 1 ude : <br /> <br />o The abo1 i shment of the Kansas Water Resources Board and the <br />formation of the Kansas Water Office <br /> <br />o Changes in the ground water law in Nebraska, as admini stered <br />at the state and local levels <br /> <br />o The creation of the Colorado Water Resources and Power Develop- <br />ment Authori ty <br /> <br />o Legislative changes in Oklahoma <br /> <br />o Gubernatorial changes and some subsequent staff changes in five <br />of si x states <br /> <br />o Several court decisions or challenges <br /> <br />Many of the changes have been reviewed in the inc1 uded agency descrip- <br />tions. There are, however, several major court decisions pending as this is <br />written which cannot be included in depth. <br /> <br />o Schero v.
