S. Army for use at Camp Haan and March Ail' Force Base, A <br />total of 1,013.7 acre-feet of water was delivered during the past fiscal <br />year through the government-owned 12-mile pipe line. <br />First delivery of water to Eastern Municipal Water District waS <br />made June 23, 1952 to the Brownlands area through a temporary <br />connection on the main aqueduct. <br />Delivery of unsoftened water was continued to the San Diego <br />County Water Authority at full capacity of the San Diego aqueduct, <br />106 cubic feet pe,' second, until January 1952, at which time the <br />flow was reduced due to heavy rains which replenished storage in <br />San Diego County reservoirs. Average flow for the year to the San <br />Diego aqueduct was 86.3 cubic feet pel' second. <br />A total of 39,177.4 acre-feet of surplus unsoftened Colorado River <br />water was released into the Santa Ana River channel at the river <br />; crossing of the upper feeder for use in the area of the Orange County <br />Municipal \Vater District. Delivery of 25,000 acre-feet was made to <br />I the Orange County Flood Control District and 14,177.4 to the Orange <br />County Water District, all at a cost of $10 per acre-foot due to <br />annexation of the Orange Count~. Municipal Water District in No- <br />vember 1951. Three municipal water districts were annexed during the <br />fiscal year: Chino Basin, Eastern and Orange County, increasing <br />the total area of Metropolitan to 1,554.89 square miles. <br />
