<br />165,000 kw of capacity, consisting of units N5 and N6 at Hoover
<br />power plant, is under operation for the henefi t of the District. This
<br />capacity is also being used jointly with the Southern California
<br />Edison Company.
<br />The State of Nevada is using unit N7 at Hoover power plant.
<br />This unit will be released to the District on May 31, 1966, unless
<br />Nevada, by fOUf years' notice, indicates a desire to continue its use.
<br />However, the District may acquire unit N7 after May 31, 1950,
<br />upon four years' notice, regardless of allY notice given by Nevada.
<br />Additional generating capacity, amounting to 50,000 kw at Parker
<br />powe" plant, will be available to the District on December 13, 1952.
<br />The City of Los Angeles, Southern California Edisou Company,
<br />California Electric Power Company, the California-Pacific Utilities
<br />Company, all in California. and the Citizens Utilities 'Company at
<br />Kingman, Arizona, purchase all Hoover Dam firm energy allocated
<br />to the District but unused by it. Tables 3 and 4 show use by the
<br />Distdct and resale to others of the District's allocated ohligation
<br />of Hoover firm energy,
