Ad hoc committees shall be designated to study and report on basic and <br />important issues in conflict, unless such issues are within the responsibility <br />of a standing committee. <br /> <br />b. An ad hoc or standing committee shall endeavor to obtain agreement <br />between principals. <br /> <br />c. Every effort should be made to sharpen the issues; if there is failure <br />to reach agreement, the ad hoc or standing committee shall so report to <br />AWRBIAC. <br /> <br />d. AWRBIAC shall refer matters of significant import to WRC. together <br />with all pertinent data, including copies of reports, dissenting opinions, <br />correspondence, and exhibits, if any. <br /> <br />ARTICLE VI - METHODS OF COLLECTING AND DISSEMINATING <br />INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS (GUIDES) <br /> <br />Section 1. Minutes <br /> <br />a. Minutes of all regular meetings shall be prepared and distributed by <br />the secretary. <br /> <br />b. Minutes shall have wide distribution and shall be distributed <br />according to requests of members of the Committee. State and federal members <br />shall receive such copies as they specify for their respective governments or <br />departments. <br /> <br />c. Minutes of special and executive meetings shall be prepared and <br />distributed as directed by AWRBIAC. <br /> <br />Section 2. Development and Dissemination of Information to Private Agencies <br />and the General Public <br /> <br />a. Public attendance at regular meetings shall be encouraged by advance <br />information, by choosing interesting subject matter, and by selecting appro- <br />priate meeting places. <br /> <br />b. Coverage by the press and other informational media shall be encour- <br />aged and aided through the office of the AWRBIAC chairman. <br /> <br />c. Special invitations may be extended by AWRBIAC members to those <br />persons having a particular interest in the subject matter. <br /> <br />d. Information presented to AWRBIAC shall be reduced to simple non- <br />technical terms insofar aa practicable for the purpose of this section. <br /> <br />25 <br />
