m~n~um supplemental irrigation demand of 107,000 acre-feet. A total
of about 17,700 acre-feet will be pumped to Carter Lake during the
February-through-March period. The reservoir will reach a maximum
storage of 82,000 acre-feet by April 1. Nearly all available
Big Thompson River water will be diverted at Lake Estes and past
through the foothills power system.
The inflow to Horsetooth Reservoir will be below normal during the
January-March period. The reservoir will reach a storage content
of about 57,600 acre-feet by the end of March. Horsetooth Reservoir
will reach a maximum storage content of about 89,000 acre-feet by
the end of June and then decline to 61,000 acre-feet by the end of
September. Total available Colorado-Big Thompson Project storage
will increase by 139,000 acre-feet during the water year. About
396,000 acre-feet of water will be stored in Lake Granby, Carter Lake,
and Horsetooth Reservoir at the end of the water year which is below
normal.

North Platte River Area

As with the most probable runoff conditions, a full irrigation supply
of 1,050,000 acre-feet will be scheduled for the North Platte Project.
A maximum runoff forecast on February 1 will require the release
of about 59,000 acre-feet of surplus water. The planned jelease
schedule will be as follows: Start on May 10 at 1,100 ft /s and
continue at this rate through the first 5 days of June. This release
schedule should be considered as a suggested means for evacuating
surplus water, and that acutal release rates, amounts, and timing
will be subject to approval by water users, State, Federal, and
local interests.
Seminoe

Seminoe Reservoir releases will be maintained at about 1,200 ft3/s
during January, then increased to about 1,450 ft3/s during February
and Harch. With the above releases, the reservoir will reach a minimum
cont~nt of about 264,000 acre-feet during March. Releases from April
through June will average about 1,725 ft3/s. Thereafter, releases
will be scheduled to allow the reservoir to fill to a toral storage
content of about 1,017,000 acre-feet in July without spilling. At the
end of the water year, a carryover storage of 977,800 acre-feet will be
147 percent of average.
