Y. 1967 construction continued on the 12.9-mile Azotea Tunnel, <br />the 8.6-mile Blanco Tunnel, the 5.4-mile 0130 Tunnel, and the diversion <br />works which will convey water from the San Juan River :Basin to the Chama <br />Ri ver :Basin. The Blanco Tunnel was holed through be:l'ore the close 0:1' the <br />fiscal year at'ter records were set for tunnel excavation work. The new <br />outlet works at El Vado Dam were completed during the year. Specifications <br />were issued :l'or work on the Azotea Creek channel leading from the Azotea <br />Tunnel outlet and for the construction of Heron Dam and relocation of <br />New Mexico state Highway 95. Volume II of the Definite Plan Report covering <br />the Tributary Irrigation Units was virtually completed during the year and <br />submission to the Commissioner is expected early in F. Y. 1968. <br /> <br />SAVERY-Pm: HOOK PARTICIPATING PROJEC'r, COLORADO AND WYOMING <br /> <br />The Savery-Pot Hook Project is located in the Little Snake River :Basin in <br />Moffat County, Colorado, and Carbon and Sweetwater Counties, Wyoming. This <br />is a multipu:rpose project which woulG. prOvide a full supply of irrigation <br />water to 21,920 acres of land and. a supplemental water supply to 13,345 <br />acres. The project will also provide fish and wildlife and recreation <br />benefits. <br /> <br />Advance planning studies were continued during F. Y. 1967. These consisted <br />of engineering surveys, land classification, drainage and geologic investi- <br />gations, and plan formulation studies. A Definite Plan Report is scheduled <br />to be completed in F. Y. 1970. <br /> <br />SEEDSKADEE PARTICIPATING PROJEC'r, WYOMING <br /> <br />The Seedskadee Project is a multipurpose project 1o<ated on the Green River <br />in southwestern Wyoming. The project will provide a full water supply <br />for 58,775 acreS and have a hydroelectric powerplant with a nameplate <br />rating of 10,000 kilowatts. The project also will provide municipal and. <br />industrial water, recreation, and fish and wildlife protection. Development <br />of the irrigation works has been deferred with a possibility of reducing <br />the irrigated acreage. <br /> <br />'Fontenelle Dam was completed during April 1964 and. storage of water was <br />initiated. On September 3, 1965, a serious leak developed through the <br />right abutment of the dam, and since that time an extensive repair program <br />has been underway. The bulk of this work so far has involved regrouting of <br />the right abutment rock and supplemental grouting elsewhere throughout <br />the da.m foundation. The grouting was completed June 23, 1967. On this <br />same day a contract was awarded to Saguaro Constructing Company to repair <br />the river outlet works and stilling basin. <br /> <br />Other than the repair work underway on Fontenelle Dam, the Seedskadee <br />Project program centers on the Development Farm, which is in its second. <br />year of production. The farm is being operated by the Uni~ersity of <br />Wyoming under the general supervision of an advisory committee, which <br /> <br />
