Drainage Needs-Possible Solutions and Tentative Plans for <br />New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas have been distributed. Comments have <br />been received and considered. Distribution of a revised report for <br />New Mexico is scheduled for July and in August or September for Colorado, <br />Comments on the plans for Kansas indicate that additional work should be <br />performed. Additional major drainage studies are under way along the <br />Arkansas River between Pueblo and John Martin Dam. Results of these in- <br />vestigations will be included in a supplemental statement. Further study <br />has been made on five tributaries of the lower Red River to detElrmine <br />.channel size~ necessary for drainage and additional flood control. <br /> <br />2, Work on farm drainage systems is being continued in all areas <br />where drainage is a problem. As data and inform.atjon is developed, it is <br />being furnished to the Water Use and Control Groups to be considered. It <br />is expected that the drainage work will continue with the Water Use and <br />Control Group progress. Work has been started on developing farm drainage <br />evaluation statements.
