The prime contract and the contract for modification of the <br />outlet worlUI have been finished except for some cleanup and minor <br />construction work. <br /> <br />At the present time the reservoir is at elevation 7,422 <br />and extends approximately 17 miles upstream from the dam. storage <br />amounts to 288,000 acre-feet. It is anticipated that the reservoir <br />will be filled to rated head elevation of 7,438 this year. At that <br />elevation the reservoir will be approximately 18 miles long and <br />contain 360,627 acre-feet. ~fuen the reservoir is full the water <br />surface elevation will be 7,519 with a length of 24 miles. Capa- <br />city at that elevation will be 940,755 acre-feet. <br /> <br />placement of concrete in Morrow point Dam was resumed on <br />March 25. The highest block of concrete is about 165 feet above <br />lowest bedrock. A total of 100,000 cubic yards of concrete has <br />been placed to date compared with the total of 360,000 cubic yards <br />to be in the finished dam. At the present time the contractor is <br />placing about 9,000 cubic yards of concrete per week. <br /> <br />All excavation work in the underground powerplant has <br />been completed and concrete is now being placed in the structure. <br /> <br />Good progress is being made on Rifle Gap Dam and other <br />features of the silt project. The stilling basin of the dam is <br />practically complete, and it is anticipated that the stream will <br />be diverted through the outlet works in the near future. <br /> <br />construction is well advanced on the Curecanti to Poncha <br />section of the Curecanti to Midway power line. The contractor is <br />stringing conductors and expects to have the work completed by <br />August. <br /> <br />project Authorization <br /> <br />Five Colorado projects (Animas-La plata, Dolores, Dallas <br />Creek, West Divide and San Miguel) have been included as participating <br />
