Sail Lake City UT 84147. <br />telephone: (801) 524-3315. <br />SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Glen <br />Canyon Dam was authorized and <br />constructed prill< to the enactment of the <br />National Environmental Policy Act of <br />1969 (NEPAl. as amended. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />CJnsequently. no NEPA documentation <br />on the overall operation haa ever been <br />completed. Reclamation completed an <br />Environmental Asscssment/Findins of <br />No Significant Impact on the uprating <br />and rewinding of the generators at Glen <br />Canyon Dam in 1982. Tha Department of <br />the Interior initiated the Gi.en Canyon <br />Environmental Studies in 1982 with t~e <br />objective of collecting the technical <br />infcrmation reqcired to asse'l the <br />impact of the operation on tbe natural <br />and recreational resources in Glen <br />Canyon and Grand Canyon. The Glen <br />Canyon Environr.lental Studies have <br />p~oduced multiple reports on the <br />impacts of high Bnd steady flow <br />operations. and studies have recently <br />been ini tis ted on the impacts of <br />fluctuating and minimim flows.
