Sufficient SCADA equipment will be

included to provide remote operators with information on

plant operation and plant operating problems. The power
from the facility will be transmitted via a new 34.5 KV

transmission line to the proposed Black Canyon substation

located approximately one-fourth mile northwest of the West

Portal of the Gunnison Tunnel. This substation is proposed

to be constructed by the Delta Montrose Electric

Association in 1987.

POWER fKQD~~Il~H AHQ CO~I ESTIMATE
Table A-2 presents a breakdown of the average annual
production of the project under the proposed operating

conditions. As shown in the table, the average annual

production 1s estimated to be 7,340,000 KWh, with a plant

factor of 0.76.
Table A-3 contains a detailed cost estimate for the project.

The total estimated construction cost for the project is

$2,074,090. This cost includes only a prorated portion of
the cost of the recreational trail and transmission line.

The remainder of these costs are included in the other four

hydroelectric power projects proposed for construction along

the South Canal (Uncompahgre Valley Hydroelectric Project

Nos. 1,3,4 and 5).

A-8
