A permanent Work Group, under the <br />authority of the Forum, is charged with making the necessary <br />. studies, providing technical advice and keeping current with <br />events and changes which will enable the Forum to make decisions <br />which may affect the numeric criteria and the plan of implemen- <br />tation. Since establishment of the salinity standards in 1975 <br />the Forum has conducted two triennial reviews, The 1981 Review <br /> <br />is currently undergoing individual state adoption. <br /> <br />Since the last report was submitted, the Advisory Council <br />met on Cctober 27, 1981 in Yuma, Arizona, At that meeting the <br /> <br />Council heard reports by the federal agencies which are taking <br /> <br />active roles in the salinity control activities. The Council <br /> <br />remains concerned with the slow rate of implementation of the <br /> <br />Colorado River salinity control activities and recommends that <br /> <br />federal agencies continue their efforts to expedite these <br />activities, <br /> <br />Proposed Legislation <br />The Forum's proposed amendments to Public Law 93-320, as <br /> <br />found in Senate Eill 2202, discussed throughout this report are <br />appended.
