of 5,252.3 ft. Capacity at elevation 5,232.0 ft (crest of' spillway), 112,600 acre-ft by
1969 survey. Reservoir 1s operated by Corps of Engineers ror flood control and sediment
storage.

Acomita Reservoir.--Staff' gage in SE\ sec. 29, T. 10 N., R. 7 W., on San Fidel Arroyo; water
for reservoir is diverted from Rio San Jose. Completed in 193B; original capacity, 850
acre-ft; present capacity 650 acre-ft on basis of 1956 sediment survey. Water is used for
irrigation on Acoma and Laguna Indian Reservations.
