<br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />OD14BS <br /> <br />72-3A Meeting - South San Francisco, California <br />October 4, 1972 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the PSIAC was called for the primary purpose <br />of considering and taking necessary action on matters regarding <br />the 1975 National Assessment. Chairman Griffin presided over the <br />meeting, which was held immediately following a meeting by the <br />Coordi.nated Planning Subcommi.ttee. <br /> <br />The following business was transacted: <br /> <br />(1) The Committee approved a draft of a letter to the Di.rector, <br />WRC in response to the "Recommended OBERS Action Plan." <br /> <br />(2) A letter to the WRC requesting PSIAC representation at the <br />joint COR-River Basin Chairmen meetings was approved. <br /> <br />(3) The PSL\C unanimously adopted a letter to the Water Resources <br />Council accepting sponsorship of the National Assessment in <br />the Pacific Southwest. <br /> <br />72-4 Meeting - San Diego, California <br />December 6-7, 1972 <br /> <br />Program Session <br /> <br />THEME: "ALTERNATE SOURCES OF SUPPLEMENTAL WATER FOR CALIFORNIA" <br /> <br />Presentations and discussion of Potential Sources: <br /> <br />(a) "Conventional Sources" - Herbert W. Greydanus, Division Engineer, <br />Division of Resources Development, California Department of <br />Water Resources. <br /> <br />(b) "Desalting" - Dr. Donat B. Brice, Staff Chemical Engineer, <br />Division of Resources Development, California Department of <br />Water Resources. <br /> <br />(c) "IJastewater Reuse" - Frank D. Dryden, Deputy Chief Engineer <br />in Charge of Advance Planning and Public Information, County <br />Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County. <br />
