He was general manager <br />of the Papio Watershed Advisory Board in <br />Omaha, Nebraska from 1965 to 1969. Prior <br />to that he was a soil and water specialist for <br />the University of Nebraska Extension Service. <br />He has a Master's and bachelor's degree in <br />agricultural engineering from South Dakota <br />State University. <br /> <br />He is married to the former Miss Arlys Sundal <br />of Colton, South Dakota, and has three <br />children. <br /> <br />A new WRC Telephone Directory, listing the <br />Council ~taff, alphabetical Directory of <br />WRC Committees, River Basin Commissions, and <br />Designated State Agencies, is available <br />upon request. Contact the Executive <br />Secretary, Water Resources Council. <br /> <br />Users of the Water Resources Council <br />Coordination Directory will receive shortly <br />the first change notice transmitting changes <br />and corrections to the WRC Coordination <br />Directory. This is part of a continuing <br />effort to make the Directory most useful- <br />and used-by being up to date. <br /> <br />The Water Resources Council has forwarded its <br />proposed report on a comprehensive water <br />and related land resources study of the Big <br />Muddy River and its tributaries to the <br />Governor of Illinois for review add comment. <br />W. Don Maughan, Director of the Council, in <br />announcing the Report, said, "the Big Muddy <br />Comprehensive Basin Study is part of a <br />national river basin planning program. The <br />basic objective of this program is to plan <br />for the. best use or combination of uses of <br />water and related land resources to meet varied <br />forseeable short-and long-term needs." <br /> <br />- - ---- <br />-- - - - - <br />
