<br />Phase III, composed of one specific activity -- (1) review of and <br />comment on the National Assessment Report -- will be completed by October <br />1977. <br /> <br />PHASE I <br /> <br />1481 <br /> <br />ACTIVITY ONE - PREIMPLEMENTATION <br />The objective of this activity is to prepare and consumate the <br />memorandum of agreement between the Missouri River Basin Commission and <br />the U.S. Water Resources Council. This activity will be completed when <br />the memorandum of agreement is signed by both parties. <br />PHASE II <br />ACTIVITY ONE - PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION <br />The objective of this activity is to identify, locate on a map. and <br />briefly describe in an initial problem list, the existing and the anticipated <br />future water and related land resource problems within the Missouri Region <br />which can be identified from the existing conditions, the central case <br />projections or actions being implemented or considered for implementation <br />by federal, state and local agencies or private entities. <br />This objective will be attained through accomplishment of the following <br />four subactivities. <br />Subactivity 1 -- Participant Selection <br />During this subactivity all of the participants for the national <br />assessment study will be selected as outlined in the organizational structure <br />(see Figure 2).' The Missouri River Basin Commission will submit a list <br />of the regional participants to WRC. <br />The Missouri River Basin, Commission will serve as the regional sponsor <br />of the national assessment and will be responsible for transmitting technical <br />memoranda and state/regional reports to WRC.
