I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

tions and procedures were approved by the study Committee on
November 20, 1990:
1. When needed, all accounts with unused space will be used in
proportion to their total unused space. For example, the
fOllowing accounts have space available as indicated to
accommodate 60 acre-feet of bookover water: "A" has 50

acre-feet, "B" has 30 acre-feet and "CD has 20 acre-feet.

The bookover water will be divided into the vacant space in
proportion to the available space in each account; 30 acre-
feet in "A", 18 acre-feet in "B" and 12 acre-feet in "CU.

2. All accounts with a need for more space will use the avail-

able space in the ratio of their storage account (as shown

in the scope of work) to the total of all storage accounts

needing additional space." Any amount of this proration

that an account cannot use will be reproportioned to those

accounts still needing space. For example, in the case

above if 160 acre-feet is needed instead of 50 acre-feet by

two accounts, the accounting would work as follows. Ac-

count "0" has a reserved account of 400 acre-feet with a

need for an additional 100 acre-feet and account "E" has a

reserved account of 100 acre-feet with a need for an addi-

tional 60 acre-feet. "D's" reserved account represents 80%

(400/500) of the two accounts and "E's" represents 20%

(100/500), therefore, "0" can use 80 acre-feet and "E" can

use 20 acre-feet of the 100 acre-feet of available space.

"D" will spill 20 acre-feet and "E" will spill 40 acre-

feet. In another example if "E" only needed 10 acre-feet

1-9
