It will be the responsibility of the Ccmnittee to establish <br />rreans and procedures to pratOte coordination of the water and related <br />land resources development and activities by the Federal agencies, <br />states, and private and local interests; to pratOte resolution of <br />inter-agency problans at the regional level; to suggest to the Water <br />Resources Council or to the States changes in law or policy which would <br />prarote coordination or resolution of problans; and in its discretion <br />to communicate with the Water Resources Council and the States on any <br />matters of llUtual interest. <br /> <br />b. The efforts of the Ccmnittee on coordination of work and <br />resolution of conflicts will be directed toward all State and Federal <br />activities involved in their respective water and related land resources <br />development responsibilities and shall include coordination of the following: <br /> <br />(1) Collection and interpretation of basic data. <br /> <br />(2) Investigation and planning of other water and <br />related land projects and programs. <br /> <br />(3) Progranming (including schedulin~) of water and <br />related land resources construct~on and development. <br /> <br />6. GEcx::RAPHICAL JURISDICTIOO - The geo~aphical area to be <br />enc~ssed Wl.tln.n the sphere ot Ccmnittee mfluence will include the <br />entire State of Oklahoma and those portions of the States of Louisiana, <br />Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, and NeW ~ico lying within <br />the Arkansas-white-Red River Basins, but excluding the OJachita River <br />Basin, and those J?Ortions of the Arkansas, White, and Red Rivers affected <br />by the Mississipp~ River backwater which are now included in the <br />jurisdiction of the Mississippi River Commission. <br /> <br />23 <br />
