Subsequent to <br /> <br /> <br />th~ conference a resident study group was established to <br /> <br />provide technical assistance for this investigation. <br /> <br /> <br />On April 27-28, 1966, the second session of the <br /> <br /> <br />conference was held on pollution of the South Platte River, <br /> <br /> <br />to consider the results obtained from this investigation and <br /> <br /> <br />study and to determine action to be taken to abate pollution <br /> <br /> <br />from the sources that had been studied. The South Platte <br /> <br /> <br />River Basin Project presented a report to the conferees <br /> <br /> <br />which contained both general and specific recommendations <br /> <br /> <br />for remedial action. This recommended remedial program <br /> <br /> <br />concerns municipal and industrial wastes in the Denver <br /> <br /> <br />metropolitan area, feedlot wastes, and sugar .beet processing <br /> <br /> <br />mills wastes, among others. <br /> <br />Shortly before the second session of the <br /> <br /> <br />conference, held April 27-28, 1966, the Colorado State Water <br /> <br /> <br />Pollution Control Commission was established by State law, <br /> <br /> <br />and the first meeting of the Commission was held in <br />
