Information on subbasin water- <br />shed runoff, present stream depletion and anticipated future <br />water requirements are discussed under the appropriate SUB- <br />BASIN. A summary of basin water supply, anticipated water <br />use, anticipated water delivery downstream and effect of com- <br />pact water delivery requirement is presented under the heading, <br />S UJVIMA RY . <br /> <br />The watershed area tributary to the Yampa River <br />U. S. Geological Survey Maybell gaging station is designated, <br />Upper Yampa Subbasin; the area tributary to the Little Snake <br />River U. S. Geological Survey Lily gaging station is desig- <br />nated, Little Snake Subbasin and the watershed area between <br />the above gaging stations and the Colorado-Utah state line <br />is designated, Lower Yampa Subbasin. A map showing the <br />location and boundary of the three subbasins is included as <br />a part of this report. <br /> <br />Drainage Basin <br />The Yampa River Basin is located in northwestern <br />Colorado and southwestern Wyoming. The Yampa is a tributary <br />to the Green River which is a tributary to the main Colorado <br />River in east-central Utah. The confluence of the Yampa <br />River with the Green River is in Colorado, 3k miles from <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />.,t,; .,-i <br />
