<br />7, Cooperative Studies and Activities:
<br />ta) Article VIII G (1) of Arkansas River Compact requires the
<br />Administration to cooperate with the Chief Official of each of
<br />the states of Colorado and Kansas charged with the ad-
<br />ministration of water rights in their respective States, and with
<br />the Federal agencies in systematically determining and
<br />correlating the facts pertaining to the flow and diversion of the
<br />water of the Arkansas River and to the operation and siltation of
<br />John Martin Reservoir and other related structures, Article VI11
<br />G (2) requests the Director of the United States Geological
<br />Survey, the Commissioner of the United States Bureau of
<br />Reclamation, and the Chief of the Engineers, United States
<br />Army, to cooperate and collaborate with the Administration and
<br />with appropriate State officials in such determinations and
<br />correlations of stream flow and related data, Under the By-
<br />Laws of the Administration, these cooperative studies and ac-
<br />tivities are assigned to the Engineering Committee of the
<br />Administration.
<br />(b) During the year covered by this report the Administration has
<br />received excellent cooperation from all agencies referred to in
