<br />o <br />(-' <br />w <br />(Xl <br /> <br />RECORD OF PROCEEDING <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />o <br />EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: <br /> <br />, <br />" <br /> <br />Chairman Nichols advised that due to conflicting schedules on the part of Committee <br />members during the months of July and August he will withhold calling the next meet- <br />ing until after the Augu.st Board me:eting. <br /> <br />LEGAL COMMITTEE: <br /> <br />Chairr:nan Beise stated that as a member of the Water Section of the Colorado Bar <br />Association he has attended three meetings with Attorney James Geissinger, who has <br />been assigned the responsibility of developing material under Senate Bill 407. Mr. <br />Beise said the studies are still in a preliminary stage but it is expected that drafts <br />of proposals will be ready for review by the public shortly after the first of September. <br /> <br />Mr. Thomson reported he was in contact with Mr. Geissinger on other matters, and <br />Mr. Geissinger indicated he would be available to address our Board of Directors at <br />their September meeting to outline the preliminary material available, and to receive <br />observations and suggestions. The Directors urged that Mr. Geissinger be invited <br />to address the September 19 Board meeting. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE: <br /> <br />Chairman Dilley stated the Legislative Council Water Committee haa held several <br />meetings to continue their review of the material under Senate Bill 407. Christy <br />asked whether or not the suggestions by the Northern Colorado Water User Associ- <br />ation incorporated the thinking of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. <br />It was determined that the District was not identified as a participant in the matter. <br />Wagner reported he attended the Legislative Review Committee meeting on July 8th, <br />and was impressed with the report on the Analog in the Arkansas Valley. <br /> <br />RIVER ADMINISTRATION & EDUCATION COMMITTEE: <br /> <br />Chairman James Wagner reported he is receiving excellent comments on the Brochures, <br />from Attorneys in the Denver area. Thomson said the supply of Brochure #6 is getting <br />extremely low, and a second run will have to be printed within the next 30 days. <br />Several changes will be made in the second run to make the Brochure more workable. <br /> <br />MANAGER'S REPORT: <br /> <br />President Nichols called the Directors attention to the printed Manager's Report for <br />the period between the last Board meeting and this one, which is a part of their <br />official jacket and correspondence. <br /> <br />AUGUST BOARD MEETING: <br /> <br />President Nichols reported that a poll of the members of the Board indicated the major- <br />ity approved to hold the regular August meeting in conjunction with a formal tour of <br />the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project. It was agreed tbe August meeting will be held at <br />the Limelite Lodge in Aspen, Colorado on Thursday, August 15, 1968, at 1:30 p. m. <br />followed by a tour of the West Slope features of the Project in the a!ternoon. The <br />delegation will depart Aspen at 8:00 a. m. on Friday, August 16, to tour the East <br />Slope features. <br /> <br />OFFICIAL MEETINGS: <br /> <br />Thomson said final plans for the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District <br />dinner in bonor of Commissioner Floyd Dominy and bis associates on Monday, July 29,. <br />1968, have been made.
