Permissible Water Ch8.rges

The present charges per 1,000 gallons consumed varies from Rbout

5 cents per 1,000 to as high as 25 cents per 1,000 gallons. This is the

cost to the consumers for municipal water supplies. For metered systems the

water much higher than for non-metered systems except in the case of small

industrial consumers.

A comparison of the charges for the two metered systems in the val-

ley is shown below:
