Recreation, grazing, and other'natural resource uses can be managed to maintain the wilderness character on most of the WSA. Surface disturbances relating to mineral development would be controlled by 36 CFR 228 regulations, but some impacts would be expected. Indications are that impacts from early exploration operations would be minimal, but if a major discovery were made, the impacts could be severe.
