Ut~h

Re: Upper Colorado River Storage Project
Tra~8mission Facilities and Power Marketing

Dear Mr. Clinton

Our company on April 8, 1960 by letter to the Honorable Fred A. Seaton,
Secretary of the Interior (copy attached) quoted for wheeling the
Project's power, based on the schedule of deliveries furnished by the
U.S.B.R. in January 1960.

On May 18, 1960 the Secretary announced the Colorado River Storage
project marketing area and criteria, approving the use of a trans-
mission system as the basis for establishing rate schedules and yard-
stick to evaluate proposals for wheeling the power over existing or
proposed private utility lines.

On September 9 we received a table of estimated distribution of
Colorado River Storage Project power and energy, dated August 31,
1960. We find this most recent load schedule at variance with the
one that we used to make our April 8, 1960 quote and oUr letter of
April 8 makes mention that should there be such variance we desired
to re-examine our quotation. Based on the August 31. 1960 schedule
lIhich we understand will be used for making comparisons, we wish to
quote for estimating purposes the following wheeling charges for de-
livery of energy by transmission line to the Phoenix area, plus energy
delivered by displacement at Four Corners.

(a) Per ki1owatthour for all energy delivered 1.177 mills.

This rate is applicable to the total annual energy shown on Exhibit I
as a minimum. Energy wheeled above the minimum annual quantity will
be at no charge.

(b) Alternate - $6.74 per kilowatt year for the yearly
peak load as per Exhibit II.
