Period - Mav 6. 1997 throul!h Julv 14. 1997 <br /> <br />The SB 96-74 Staff Technical Advisory Committee completed several tasks <br />during the- current reporting period. Completed tasks included: <br /> <br />Preliminary Draft Reoort Submitted to the Soecial Water Committee: <br /> <br />A preliminary draft of the Denver Basin and South Platte River Basin Technical <br />Study was submitted to the Special Water Committee June 3, 1997 in compliance with <br />the requirements of Senate Bill 96-74. The report was incomplete due to the complexity <br />of preparing the individual task technical reports and providing the opportunity for review <br />by technical peers and affected interests. The draft final report, including peer review <br />comments, will be submitted to the Committee in August. An outline of the study report <br />is included at the end of this progress report. <br /> <br />Progress on the Economic Life of the Denver Basin Aquifers Studv: <br /> <br />HRS Water Consultants, Inc. are currently completing tasks associated with the <br />groundwater layered-radial flow model. These tasks include model setup, model <br />simulations, and analysis of model results. HRS is also completing the basin literature <br />review and research task. Their schedule for study completion is late July. The SB 96- <br />153 study will link directly into the SB 96-74 study. <br />
