ENVIRONMENTAL NEPA compliance III connection wilh the Colorado River Storage ProJect (CRSP) in FY 86 consisted of the preparation of 48 Categorical Exclusion Checklists, 2 Envi- ronmental Assessmenls. 2 Findings of No Signilicant Impact, and 1 Draft Supple- ment to a Final Environmental Impact Slatement. Compliance with the Clear Water Act included obtaining seven Section 404 and three Section 402 Permits lor various construction projects on Ihe CRSP. In connection with hazardous waste regu- lations, plans have been made to remove all polychlorinated biphenyl contaminated electrical equipment from CRSP facilities durrng the next 2 years. Reclamation and Fish and Wildlife Service are continuing their research on the endangered lishes 01 the Green and Colorado Rivers. The Service and Recla- mation enlered inlo agreements in t 986 to study the operational impacts of Flaming Gorge Dam on the endangered lish. An integrated report and Biological Opinion are scheduled to be compleled In May 1989. Studies that will aid in evaluating possible operational Impacts to all aquatic resources are also being conducted on the trout tailwater fishery below Flaming Gorge Dam. Addilional endangered fish studies are being conducted on the Colorado River near Grand Junction, and at the inflow area to Lake Powell where populations of Colorado squawfish and humpback chub have been located. Studies are being conducted in the Grand Canyon to delermine the Impacts of the operation 01 Glen Canyon Dam.
