KUIPER <br /> <br />BOSTWlCK PARK PROJECT - COLORADO i-- <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />The Bostwick Park Reclamation project is a 1lIUlti-purpose <br /> <br />water resource development project located in the Gunnison River <br /> <br />Basin in west central Colorado. The project is located in the Fourtb <br /> <br />Congressional District - Colorado. It is in the South pacific Divi-. <br /> <br />sion, Los Angeles District. <br /> <br />The Bostwick Park Project is a participating project of <br /> <br />the Colorado River storage Project. The project will develop pre- <br /> <br />sently unused flows of Cimarron Creek for irrigation and for benefits <br /> <br />to sport fishing and recreation. It would provide a f~ll irriqation <br /> <br />supply for. 1,315 acres of "land that are not presently irrigated and <br /> <br />, <br />a supplemental supply to 4,2.93 a.cres that are now inadequately served. <br /> <br />The Silver JaCk Dam and Re~ervoir would have a storage capacity of <br /> <br />10,600 acre-feet including 8,000 acre-feet for irrigation, 1,500 acre- <br /> <br />feet for fish, 950 acre-feet for sediment retention and 1,500 acre- . <br /> <br />feet of dead storage. This project is among the potential participat- <br /> <br />ing projects which were given priority in completion of pl~ning re- <br /> <br />ports by the Colorado River Storage Project authorizing Act of April <br /> <br />11, 1956 (70 Stat. 105). <br />
