~
,..

Agenda Item 23h
March 20-21, 2000 Board Meeting
Page 2 of2

C\J

C"';

c

2. Amend or renegotiate the states cost-sharing agreement. This includes reaching
agreement on project cost allocations.
3. Assist as appropriate in amending existing cost-share and repayment contracts with
the parties receiving project water. If the state receives project water, as currently
indicated in H.R. 3112, we will need to negotiate a cost-share and repayment
contract as well.
4. Determine how and by whom long-term operation and maintenance of the project
will be performed and assist as appropriate with contracts between those parties and
Reclamation.
5. Work with the Attorney Generals Office to determine whether or not it is necessary
to amend any ofthe settlement decrees entered in Water Division 7.
6. Attached hereto is Table 7-1 of the DSEIS that identifies all of the federal, state and
local permit approvals and consultation requirements that will need to be completed
over the 12-18 months following receipt ofa favorable "Record of Decision."

As you can see, there is a considerable amount of work yet to be accomplished. We will
do our best to keep the Board informed of progress and assist Reclamation and project
sponsors wherever possible.

Attachment
