The <br />Wolford Mountain site A w.as replaced with. a site approximately <br />3,500 feet up:stream. This.new site, designated as Wolford Mountain <br />.Site A', appears to be more favorable for dam construction in light <br />of geotechnical and topographic iterations. The Initial Screening <br />Report, issued in . January, 1986, describes in detail the efforts <br />and recommendations made in the Pha:se 1 investigation. <br /> <br />Phase 2 involves ,two. aspects: in-depth hydrologic,. operational and <br />water rights anl"llyses using a hydrologic :simulation model, and.. an <br />evaluation of the Green Mountain to Dillon. conveyance system to <br />determine the, pumping :system configuration and the estimated cost. <br />This memorandum presents ,the reSults of these preliminary analyses <br />performed as part of the Phase 2 investigation. <br /> <br />During Phase 3, the reconnaissance study phase, preliminary designs <br />and cost estimates will be prepared for those reservoir sites not <br />eliminated as a result of the Phase 2 analyses. In addition, <br />detailed geoteChnical. investigations will . be conducted . if <br />necessary. The Phase 3 report, will present a comparative analysis <br />of these remaining. sites.
