Organic Act to "... conserve the scenery and natural and <br />historic objects and wildlife therein and to provide for the <br />enjoyment of the same [and] leave them unimpai,ed ...," the <br />following objectives for management of the river have been <br />established. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Protect the Colorado River and its riparian environ- <br />ment from unacceptable change caused by river <br />running activities. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Provide an opportunity for all visitors to enjoy a high <br />quality, rewarding river running experience consis- <br />tent with the magnificent setting of the Grand <br />Canyon. <br /> <br />5 <br />
