Computed and equal to line 23 + line 16
+ line 17.

NARROWS RESERVOm

25. EOM Content - Narrows Reservoir end-of-month surface storage content.
The minimum EOl\! content is governed by the amount of historic Jackson
Lake Storage (line 3) plus dead and inactive pool content reflecting the
50-year sediment encroachment of 30, 000 acre-feet. Line 25 is computed
and equal to previous month line 25 + line 12 - line 24.

WATER UTILIZATION

Historic

CC>

26. Narrows Res Divert Reqmt - Total river headgate diversion requirements to
irrigate 134,600 productive acres of irrigable land and for 19,600 produc:,
tive acres of intermittently irrigated land, historically irrigated by 23 ditches
between the Narrows Dam site and the Colorado-Nebraska State Boundary.
This was computed in the 1965 Narrows Unit ''Historic Farm Water
Utilization Study. 11
27. River eqiv of Hist Pump - River diversions equivalent of historic ground-water
pumping on irrigable lands of line 26. Estimated historic ground-water
pumping by ditch systems (Table 7 of Appendix II - Hydrology) increased
by canal losses.
28. Hist Divert to Irrigation - Historic diversions below Narrows Reservoir to meet
crop requirements from "Historic Farm Water Utilization Study." This
represents the monthly dver diversions and off-stream reservoir releases
made to the lands historically served by the 23 major ditch systems. '
29. Divert Demand WiG Project - Diversion demand below Narrows Reservoir
without the project. Prior to 1962, this item was computed and equal to
line 26 - line 27 - line 28. For the years 1962 - 1974, this item was based
on a correlation developed by Mr. Edson Holland, USBR, which related the
historic Inflow to Narrows Reservoir, to the diversion shortages below
, ~
Narrows without the proJect. '

With Project

30. Direct Divert Weldon Right - Weldon Valley Ditch water available below Narrows
Reservoir with project. This assumes that the yield from Weldon Valley
Ditch water rights will supply supplement water to the nearest ditches below
Narrows Reservoir so that no noticeable chaDge in return flow will occur.
Computed if line 29 is greater than line 9 as equal to line 9 and if line 29 is
less than line 9 as equal to line 29.

,~
