During the quarter data colleoted during the 1956 <br />fiB ldseasonwere processed, and a preliminary draft of a compilation <br />report presenting all records collected on sediment yields in drainage <br />basins of' conservation reservoirs in these areas was essentially completed. <br /> <br />Sedimentation investigations in the Medioine Creek basin were <br />continued. These investigations were supported by funds transferred by <br />the BUreau of Reclamation and Agrioulturalllesearoh Service. The Soil <br />Conservation Serv.ice and University of Nebraska also participate in the <br />joint Medicine Creek watershed program. <br /> <br />SedillSntation investigations in the Whitehead subwatershed, <br />Nebraska, and Kiowa Creek basin, Colorado, including the deposition of <br />sediment in two detention reservoirs were continued. The Kiowa Creek <br />basin program also includes the measurement of the sediment discharge at <br />two stations downstream from ihe detention reservoir.
