Most probable inflow into Fontenelle
Reservoir this coming runoff season is 94 percent of average.

Releases will likely remain at or near 1250 cfs through the winter period. This release level,
combined with most probable inflow, will result in Fontenelle reaching a minimum pool
elevation of 6464 feet by about April I, 1999. The reservoir will then be in position to absorb
next spring's snowmelt runoff.

Fontenelle should be very nearly full in early July 1999.

FLAMING GORGE - Releases from Flaming Gorge Reservoir are currently at 2800 cfs. The
releases pattern is now "steady" with little or no hour to hour variability. Releases were
increased from 2400 cfs to 2800 cfs on January 27.

Inflow has been above average during the first part of water year 1999. The reservoir level is
currently about 1.5 feet higher than expected. Additionally, snow conditions in the Upper Green
River basin have changed significantly in the past month and a half. Snowpack on December 20,
1998 in the Upper Green River basin wa<; only 60 percent of average. As of February 8, 1999,
snowpack in the Upper Green has increased to 106 percent of average.
