Bristol, Regional Supervisor <br />o & M, S. L. lla.ird, Regional Counsel, and W. H. Sweet, Project Engineer. <br />It was the consensus of the group that application of the formula <br />would involve no difficulties. Mr. Tipton thought studies had been <br />made which would show, on the average, the applicability of the formula. <br />He agreed to ascertain whether or not such studie s had been made a.nd <br />to inform the Bureau of the results of the studies. <br /> <br />The Project Engineer discussed, with Dr. H. C. Meyers, <br />President, Board of Directors of the Conejos Water Conservancy District, <br />the securing of "Consent Agreements." Dr. Meyers gave indication of <br />being uninterested, but did promise to consult with the Board's <br />attorney as to required actions of the Board. The Conejos Board of <br />Directors has no ,Vice-President at this time due to the expiration <br />of the term of Mr. John Brady. The District Judge has appointed Mr. <br />Thompson of Romeo. Colorado to the vacancy. <br /> <br />The Project Engineer, with the aid of Mr. C. S. Birkins, <br />former secretary of the Conejos Board, will encourage the Board and <br />prominent water users in the Conejos District to initiate the work <br />of securing the consent agreements in order that requirement can be <br />completed early in 1951. <br /> <br />Construction work on Platoro Dam and Reservoir was stopped, <br />for the season, the latter part of the month due to cold and stormy <br />weather. Completion of the dam and clearing of the reservoir is ex- <br />pected by October 1, 1951. <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />Meurs. Draney and Hicklin visited the project to inspect <br />the new work order and accounting system. <br /> <br />The Regional Safety Advisor made an inspection trip over <br />the project during the month. Efforts to secure a Safety Inspector <br />for part time employment on the project are being made.
