<br />~ <br />CoO <br />C\l <br />..... <br /> <br />z <br /> <br />The Pothook Canal could extend to approximately <br />the 40 mile limit. <br /> <br />There has been some rather extensive research and <br /> <br />preliminary design done by the United States Bureau of <br /> <br />. <br />Reclamation. Their data is available as well as their <br /> <br />consulting personnel. <br /> <br />The design offered by the USBR for the Pothook Dam <br />includes a 3,600 foot tunnel constructed through a ridge <br />on the left abutment approximately 3,500 feet upstream <br />from the dam axis. In lieu of the expensive tunnel, an <br /> <br />open cut channel could possibly be constructed through <br />the same ridge but approximately 5,500 feet from the dam <br />axis. Water delivery could then be enacted from the open <br /> <br />cut channel to the Pothook Canal and from the outlet pipe <br /> <br />to Slater Creek to the now existing ditch network. <br /> <br />The Pothook Reservoir could possibly supply 8,000 <br />acres of full service land and 4,000 acres of supplemental <br /> <br />service land. <br />
