AlU<ANSAS RIVER COMPACT COMMISSION,
General Man.ger Thomson stated he had received a telephone call from Project
Manager, James Ogilvie, advising that Frank Bell has resigned as Chairman of
the Arkansas River Compact Commission, due to his change of duty, and that the
Bureau of Reclamation recommends Mr. R.J. llRandyl1 Riter. Mr. Bell con-
curred in this recommendation. Nichols asked Attorney Beise to write a letter
of" recommendation of Mr. Riter. Milenski moved, seconded by Young. that the
Directors approve the action. Motion unall'lmoualy carried.

LEGISLATIVE RECEPTION:
Shoun reported that he had received a request {for the District to become a sponsor
of an informal reception, to be held in Denver on January 12, 1967. Mr. Shoun
stated that the District has always participated in this activity, and it does afford
and Dpportunity for representatives of the District to become better acquainted
with all Legislators. He stated the COst is $50 to participate as an official sponsort
.~nd moved that the Diatrict participate. Motion seconded by Director Dilley.
and unanimously carried.

INSUR:.NCE PROGRAM:
Past President Young moved, and Director Wagner seconded. that the District
purchase an Insurance Policy for the General Ma.nager. calling for retirement,
death. and other benefits at.:J.n approximate cost 0!-$104 per month. After short
discussion the motion was unanimously approved and the Treasurer authorized
to sign the Contract.

There being nO further business to come before the meeting, President Nichols
declared it adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
