<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Colorado
<br />Water Conservancy .District was held at the office of the District, 90S Hiway
<br />50 Weat, Pueblo, Colorado, on Thu'l'Bday, January 12., 196'7.

<br />Colorado Wa.ter Con.ervation Board; Leon Stanton. Chaffee County Agent; and
<br />John Patterson, Division Engineer.

<br />The meeting was called to order at 10:15 a. m. by the President, Mr. J. Sid
<br />Nichola. The President asked General Manager, Charles L. Thomson, to serve
<br />as Secretary. The President announced that a quorum was present, and the
<br />meeting was rea.dy for the tra.nsaction of business.
<br />
<br />Nichols asked General Manager Thomson to intrC"duce the guests. Thomson
<br />advised that Mr. Bell would join the Staff of the Colorado Water Conservation
<br />Board on February I, and would be in charge of the intensive Arkansas Valley
<br />Study. Mr. Erv ISchiesl of the Southern Colorado Power Company and Mr. Leon
<br />Stanton, Chaffee County Agent were introduced. Division Engineer, John
<br />Patterson, announced that he will be leaving the service of the State on January
<br />the 16th to join the firm of Woodward, Clyde, Sherard and Associates of Denver.
<br />He thanked the Directors for their cooperation during his years of service as
<br />Division Engineer. He advised that Rudy Stuydahar from Walsenburg, will be
<br />his successor.
<br />
<br />Selby Young, expressed the feeling of the Board of Di:recto:rB when he thanked
<br />John Patterson for his service in the Arkansas Valley. and wished for him the
<br />very best of success in his new job.
<br />
<br />READING OF THE MlNUTES:
<br />Mr. Thomson read the Minutes of the December a, 1966 meeting. James Shoun
<br />asked that the letter relative to former General Manager, Charles H. Boustead,
<br />receiving the "Headgate Award" be included in the Minutes. Nichols requested
<br />that on page two, the word I1park'1 be changed to l'monument". The minutes
<br />were approved a' amended.
