<br />4 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Wellton-Moha~k BYDass Drain <br /> <br />Pursuant to Point 4 of Minute No. 242, providing for an extension <br />of the concrete-lined Wellton-lillhawk Byoass Drain in 'lexico at the <br />expense"of the United States, and pursuant to !Iinute No. 248, adopted <br />by the Commission on June 10, 1975, Mexico completed the 35 miles of <br />drain in its territory in March 1977. Pursuant to Minute No. 248, <br />the Bureau of Reclamation completed the part of the bypass drain <br />in the Hnited States in June 1977. Six wells have been completed and equip~ed; an <br />additional eight wells have been drilled and contracts awarded for seven <br />more wells. Should additional wells be needed to maintain flows at the <br />Southerly International Boundary, the Bureau has developed contingency <br />plans for an additional 14 wells. <br /> <br />(*Data to be sUnplied later) <br />
