The Council is pleased that construction <br />on the west end portion of Stage Two has been initiated. <br /> <br />However, the Council is displeased with the funding levels <br /> <br />proposed for 1988. Funding reductions from those <br />recommended by the Council would appear to preclude the <br /> <br />lining of the association laterals. Without the <br /> <br />improvement of the laterals. the cost effecti v.e USDA on farm <br /> <br />salinity control aotivities can not be implementedina <br />timely and. cost efficient manner. <br /> <br />Las Ve~as Wash Unit.
