The sanitary

waste system and the sanitary sewage

disposal site will be approved by the

State Department of Health.

At the present stage of design develop-

ment, it is anticipated that the sulfur

dioxide removal system may include

limestone scrubbing of the flue gas.

Tentatively, the most probable system

would recycle the liquid erfluent.

Make-up water for the scrubber system

would be supplied from the cooling tower

blowdown to the extent available. Addi-

tional make-up water would be obtained

from the water storage pond. Blowdown

from the scrubber system would be

discharged to the evaporation pond or

processed through an evaporating system.

Blowdown from the cooling tower will be

recycled as make-up for the ash sluicing

system and/or the sulfur dioxide scrubbing

system with excesf, discharging to the

evaporation pond.

-140-
