Since water would <br /> <br />be used only during periods of low flow in <br /> <br />the Yampa River, this release would help <br /> <br />to maintain the fishery in a segment of <br /> <br />the Yampa by stabilizing flows between <br /> <br />Elkhead Creek and the power plant site. <br /> <br />The waters of the reservoir will be <br /> <br />moderately turbid by, reason of turbid <br />inflow from the sparsely-vegetated <br /> <br />lands surrounding it, and the tendency <br /> <br />for waves near the shore to keep clay <br /> <br />particles in suspension.
