The AQUATRAIN Process <br /> <br />A _ltidisciplinary planning team concept is being employed in this study. <br /> <br />The planning team will be composed of leaders of the six subteams. The <br />sub teams will be composed of representatives from the Federal Government, <br />State Governments, and private industry. The six subteams are: <br /> <br />* Water rights/water supply/State issues <br />* Coal market/supply <br />* Financial/economic <br />* Technical/engineering <br />* Environmental, corridor, Federal permitting, and energy management <br />* Planning coordination, reports, public involvement/affairs <br /> <br />Public Involvement <br /> <br />Many questions about the proposed AQUATRAIN pipeline system are not yet <br />answered, thus the need for feasibility studies. In the AQUATRAIN planning <br />process, the public interest has a fore80St place. Public participation <br />has been and continues to be actively sought, and input is being incorporated <br />in project planning. Interested and affected publics will be encouraged <br />and afforded opportunities to participate in problems and needs identification <br />leading to plan formulation and evaluation, as well as other study issues <br />as they evolve. <br /> <br />5 <br />
