New <br />Mexico was the host State and Mr. S. E. Reynolds and Mr. David P. Hale <br />were responsible for most of the planning and arrangements for the <br />meeting. ApproXimately 77 people attended the meeting. <br /> <br />Dr, William R. McConnell, Executive Secretary, New Mexico Board <br />of Educational Finance, moderated a panel discussion on "Water Rase~ch <br />Activities of New Mexico Institutions of Hig.l}er Learning." The panel <br />was composed of: <br /> <br />Dr. '!E. J. Workman, President, New Mexico Institu'l1e <br />of Mining and Technology, Socorro, New Mexico. <br /> <br />Dr. H. R. Stucky, Head, Department of Agricultural <br />Economics and Agricultur81 Business, New Mexico State <br />University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. <br /> <br />Mr. Blair T. Bower, Consulting Professor, Civil <br />Engineer and Economist, University of New Mexico, <br />Albuquerque, New Mexico. <br /> <br />The Honorable Jack M. Campbell, Governor of New Mexico, spoke <br />briefly to the Committee stressing the importance of research in the <br />field of water resources and of development and use of water resources. <br /> <br />In the unaVOidable absence of Senator Clinton P. Anderson of New <br />Mexico, Mr. S. E. Reynolds, State Engineer of New Mexico, read <br />Senator Anderson's prepared paper on "The Water Resources Act of 1964." <br /> <br />Business Meeting <br /> <br />At the business meeting the normal business was transacted, <br />arrangements were made for each subcommittee chairman to receive min- <br />utes of other subcOmmittees, and the ad hoc Subcommittee on Coordinated <br />Planning submitted its second report which was adopted by the Committee <br />thereby establishing the Subcommittee on Coordinated Planning. <br /> <br />~quet <br /> <br />A PSIAC banquet was held at which Mr. William C.
