Meetings <br /> <br />Four meetings were held during the fiscal year on the days <br />preceding the meetings of the parent cOlDlllittee. In each <br />case a full day was consumed in workshop sessions intended <br />to prOlllOte an exchange of viewpoints and information, and <br />insofar as possible, articulate differences of policies and <br />philosophies of' the member agencies. At the 65-2 meeting <br />the Recreation Subcommittee participated in a specially pro- <br />gramed field trip to learn of the planning and administrative <br />problems involved with reservoirs constructed primarily for <br />recreation purposes. <br /> <br />2. study Problems Dispatched <br /> <br />At the first meeting of the fiscal year the Recreation Sub- <br />cOllllllittee had under consideration seven problems: <br /> <br />a. Practicability of l.ltilizing domestic water supply <br />reservoirs for recreation. <br /> <br />b. Glossary of Recreation Terms .. <br /> <br />c. Sanitation guides and manuals ... <br /> <br />d. Review of concession development on reservoir projects . . . <br /> <br />e. Boating regulation unifOrmity. . . <br />f' . Relieving technical personnel shortage . . . <br /> <br />g. Techniques for improv.tng est:l.mates of demand, land <br />requirements, etc. <br /> <br />They have been dispatched as f'ollows: <br /> <br />A detailed conceptional outline covering the content and <br />organization of Problem A was Pro<Luced and reviewed by the <br />SubcOllllllittee. A f'inal report will be submitted at a later <br />date. <br /> <br />A glossary of' recreation terms, Problem B, was prodUCed by <br />the SubcOllllllittee, approved by the parent cOllllllittee, and <br />forwarded to the ICWR for cOllllilent and transmittal to roR. <br /> <br />-10- <br /> <br />
