Subcommittee reports were re- <br />ceived by the Committee and approved. The cOllllllittee approved the <br />recommendation to place many of the older PSIAC files in the <br />San Francisco records center. At the close or the meeting <br />Mr. Griffin presented the PSIAC gavel to Mr. Paul Eastman, Chairman <br />for the fiscal 1966. <br /> <br />Banquet <br /> <br />The PSIAC banquet was held in the Prospectors Village and was <br />addressed. by Mr. William E. Warne who spoke on "Progress- Imagination <br />and Courage." Mr. Warne stressed the tremendous magnitude of the <br />water development job, the need for imagination in conceiving the <br />necessary projects, and the requirement for courage in financing <br />and constructing the engineering works required. <br /> <br />Field Trip <br /> <br />On June 17, 1965 about 60 members and guests of PSIAC partici- <br />pated in an extremely interesting and instructive tour of the <br />Oroville and Thermalito projects. The committee was impressed. with <br />thec.,lock:work precision of the excavation, transportation, and placing <br />of fill in the Oroville lJem as well as with the many other features <br />of construction. <br /> <br />Technical Subcommittees <br /> <br />Six technical subcommittees were active through the fiscal year. <br />Each subcommittee held at least four meetings and conducted severa;L _ <br />field trips to areas of interest to the subcommittee. The Ad Hoc Sub- <br />committee on River llasin Planning was changed. on its recommendation <br />to the SUbcommittee on Coordinated Planning. <br /> <br />Annual reports describing the activities or the technical sub- <br />committees are summarized as follows: <br /> <br />Hyd.rologr SubcOllllllittee <br /> <br />1.
