.

.

.

0900

The Geollilgical Survey in cooperation with the Colorado Water Conservation
Board' has made a brief'investigation of the ground-water conditions of the
Purgatoire River valley above Trinidad, the results of which, are described
in the enclosed report, and more detailed studies in the same~eneral region
may be made at later, date in response to continued interest in that area. For
this reason we shall be very pleased to .receive a copy of your report in its
final form. .

'I have one more favor to ask. Mention is made of a report prepared by
the Corps of Engineers for the Bureau of Mines entitled "The Synthetic
Liquid Fuel Potential of Colorado" dated September 14, 1951. Because of our
interest in the possible, quantities of water including ground water that may
ultimately be required by synthe'j;ic fuel plants we would like very much to
obtain a copy of this report if its available.

, Your cooperation in these matters will be greatly appreciated.

Cordially yours,

~

S. W. Lohman
Staff Geologist

APPENDIX G
;':xhibit No. 6
Fage 2_of 2

.
