Sites eligible for National Register of Historic <br />Places (NRHP) status will be nominated. Public awareness <br />of these sites will be enhanced. Five cultural resource <br />~~ement p~ans (CRMPs) will be completed for active <br />sl~e mterpr.etation and protection. These significant sites <br />will be relamed under BLM administration. <br /> <br />Special Status Plant and <br />Animal Values <br /> <br />Management actions will be considered in activity plans to <br />en!'ance, recover, or re-establish these special plant and <br />aromal ~eso.urces. These resources will be specifically ad- <br />dressed m eight CRMAPs. Clearances will be conducted for <br />all proposed surface-disturbing actions. <br /> <br />Waterpower/Storage <br /> <br />Management actions to maintain the physical potential for <br />the development of waterpower/storage sites on BLM- <br />administered lands within the planning area will continue. <br />One exception to this will be the recommendation to ter- <br />minate the .withdrawals for the Rio Grande River Corridor. <br />An evaluation of all potential sites will be accomplished, and <br />recommendations for new withdrawals be proposed as <br />needed. <br /> <br />8-3 <br />
