Statewide, All ASA's. The problem area is statewide. <br />Water issues are inadequate monitoring of water quality--including <br />sediment and pesticide loads. Land issues are: Lack of data <br />needed to identify flood plains in rural and urban areas, erosion <br />(115 million tons per year--73 million from cultivated area), lack <br />of detailed soil survey information. <br /> <br />COLORADO - GROUP A <br /> <br />1. Arkansas Drainage area above Pueblo, ASA 1102. The <br />mountainous portion of the southern Rocky Mountain region drained <br />by the Arkansas River from the Continental Divide to Pueblo, and <br />the Front Range and plains area drained by Fountain Creek. <br /> <br />2. Arkansas Drainage area between Pueblo and Colorado- <br />Kansas State line, ASA 1102. <br /> <br />3. High Plains Groundwater Irrigation, ASA's 1102 and 1103. <br />The problem area is in the northern and southern High Plains of <br />eastern Colorado near the Colorado-Kansas State line. <br /> <br />KANSAS - GRoUP A <br /> <br />1. High Plains Groundwater Irrigation (Ogallala), ASA 1103. <br /> <br />LOUISIANA - GROUP A <br /> <br />1. Red River Area in Louisiana, ASA 1107, including water <br />quality, depth of river water for navigation, flooding and bank erosion. <br /> <br />LOUISIANA - GROUP B <br /> <br />1. Caddo, Bossier, and Webster Parishes, ASA 1107, including <br />low stream flows, and limited groundwater for irrigation and in- <br />dustrial uses. <br /> <br />MISSOURI - GROUP A <br /> <br />1. Springfield Problem Area, ASA 1101. <br /> <br />2. Joplin Problem Area, ASA 1104. <br /> <br />NEW MEXICO - GROUP A <br /> <br />1. Problem Area No.1, ASA 1105, in Colfax, Harding, Mora, <br />Quay, and Union Counties. <br /> <br />2. High Plains Groundwater Irrigation, ASA 1105. <br /> <br />7 <br />
