The water surf'ace elevation as of June 30, 1968 <br />was 7,489.76. The Morrow Point Dam began storing water on January <br />24, 1968. The water surface elevation was 7,075.3 as of June 30, <br />1968. The Crystal Dam and Powerplant are scheduled for the start <br />of construction in FY 1971 and the powerplant is scheduled to be in <br />operation by FY 1976. Crystal Reservoir is planned to re-regulate <br />the flows of the Gunnison River to permit the most effecient oper- <br />ation of the power facilities at Morrow Point Dam. <br /> <br />$109, 712,0I:J5 <br /> <br />Power Revenues <br />CRDF & Contributions <br /> <br />$109,580,162 <br />131,923 <br />$109,712,085 <br /> <br /> <br />The following recreational facilities which were built by the Na- <br />tional Park Service are available for use at the sites indicated: <br /> <br />Elk Creek - Campground and picnic area, utility building, boat <br />launching ramp, LP gas system, sanitary facilities, and a trailer <br />flushing station. <br /> <br />Iola Site - Boat launching ramp, parldng area, and sanitation facil- <br />itIes. <br /> <br />The .Bureau of Sport Fisheries and :~ldlife, in cooperation with the <br />Colorado Fish and Game Department, performed the following during <br />FY 1963: <br /> <br />(1) Executed a contract in June 1968 for the second segment <br />of a 6-year study at the Curecanti Unit complex of Bluc JlJesa, /10rrov <br />Point, and Crystal Reservoirs. This stu~y is to obtain information <br />necessary to develop superior fishing. <br /> <br />(2) Stocked Blue ~~sa Reservoir with 1.3 million rainbow trout <br />fingerlings obtained from federal hatcheries. In ~ddition numbers <br />of brown trout, kokanee salmon, and crappie were stocked from State <br />facili ties. <br />
